“an excellent Multi Tool Knife. just the right amount of tools. you can tell the craftsmanship behind it right out of the box. i am very pleased with my purchase.”
“I had not expected the Free T4 to be so wide or heavy so this was a surprise. I had expected the magnetic movement of the tools to make it easier, particularly as I have arthritis. Sadly I do not find it any easier, indeed to get tools out I need to press the catch and then hold down the ends of the tools. I actually find this harder than the traditional way of lifting them up.
That said the Free T4 is excellent quality and all the tools do exactly what they should and the clip is very useful to ensure this stays with me.
I have no hesitation in recommending Leatherman as excellent tools.”
“An excellent tool that has clearly taken some lead from Victorinox. I’ve never understood why Victorinox don’t incorporate more of their unsurpassed tools in their alox scaled knives? Anyway Leatherman now have they include a set of tweezers and a pocket clip that’s great! Not quite so great is the apparent amount of wasted space between the tools, tessellation isn’t their strong point apparently. Also the lack of a nail notch can make the opening of individual tools slightly frustrating. Furthermore the locking blade makes this non U.K. carry friendly! So an excellent start for this type of tool from Leatherman, hopefully next generation will be an improvement!”
“Definitely not a one handed knife, unless you have a magician's dexterity or all day to unship a blade. (and thumbnails of steel). Having said that, this has turned into an everyday carry because it has a great form factor in the hand and the tools chosen for it are straight up useful. Magnetic locking - bit meh. No better no worse.”
