“I have had a number of Leatherman and Swiss Army multi-tools over the years, and have to admit that the Wave has been the most disappointing, and it isn't cheap!
The good points.
1) the single handed opening capability of the cutting blades is useful and effective.
2) the cutting blades are extremely sharp.
The bad points.
1) the scissors, screw drivers, can opener, etc are hard to open, especially if you have short nails.
2) the locking mechanism on one side is hard to disengage, which means a struggle when you come to close the tools on that side.
3) the pliers are extremely stiff to use and fold away, even after lubricating. I could loosen the bolt holding the components in place, but this shouldn't be necessary immediately on purchase.”

The tools included in the wave is second to none, their usefulness is matched only with the brilliance that is Leatherman.
Truly, if there needs to be an award for engineering feat, Leatherman has it in the ballpark. Thefact that a tiny scissors actually work as scissors is mind blowing in it's own right, because due to the dimensions, I'd thought they may snap.
Alas, the tools included is brilliant for everyday carry, repairs for broken down cars, repairs for bycicles, repairs, repairs, repairs.
If you have the intellect you can repair just about anything with this tool. Truly an amazing all-in-one handyman's gadget.”
