“After looking for a replacement for my Gerber multi tool, I looked at Leatherman because of their famous reputation. And I have to say they are far superior than other brands when considering quality, steel grades, incomparable precision in function and design, and even the warranty. After all they do specialise in multi tools, but I believe Leatherman excel. Even the knives equipped in these tools are superior because they start at a steel grade of 420HC which is a superb choice of steel even used in high end knives that alone cost more than these tools. After looking at all Leatherman tools I decided to get a Rebar because it was mid priced and had a bit of everything, not too many functions, it looks like an oversized swiss army knife but not too little it wouldn't come in use. I had doubts about the Rebar as it looked a bit dull and basic in comparison to other models but I can tell you there is no compromise with this tool. It is exceptionally well designed and made and looks the business too, and I'm confident it won't disappoint you if you have any doubts. Overall I think it's great value for money, especially if you don�t want to spend as much as some of the higher end models, this tool does the same without compromising quality. Its a little more expensive but you get what you pay for! I also got the combo pack which costs the same as the Rebar alone and it comes with a micra mini too worth �26.”
“I received my Rebar as a present after my Gerber was stolen following a car crash. I must say it is so much better in every way. The only thing that I find lets it down is the bottle opener, wwhich should have been a separate tool to the can opener, but since i received the free gift of a caribiner, which incorperates a bottle opener, this is not so much of a problem.”
