“I’m giving it a medium score, not because it’s a bad product, but just because I think it’s too expensive for what it is.
It is leathermans first attempt at making a multitool with the gerber style opening of the pliers, and it is designed to be 100% one handed operated...which it is!
But I feel like it is too large for its tool selection and the tools in it are too small.
For instance; saw is so small that it is pretty much useless and the knives are the same size as a small pocket knife.
I understand that it is designed for military and law enforcement, as well as first responders, and I respect it for that. But for my personal usage; I feel like the one handed focus of it takes away too many features and I for the price I don’t think it is worth it.
Had it maybe been priced around 70-80€ It may have justified itself more, but it doesn’t justify itself being priced above the Super-tool 300, Surge, Rebar or even Charge.”
“Having owned 2 waves after seeing a mates OHT I decided to buy one.
I've been using this daily at work for a couple of months and can't fault it.
I sharpen knives for a hobby and this came sharper than any I can remember.
Pliers superior to any other leatherman and one handed operation not a gimmick but fact.
The carry pouch needs addressing is the only minor criticism I have.
I still carry a wave out of work and probably always will out of loyalty.
The OHT I feel should take the honour of being the pride of the Leatherman fleet.”
