“I am in week 2 on the app and find it useful in giving me achievable workouts, I look forward to seeing how well this translates to my fitness on the bike. I have picked up muscle groups e.g. calves that need work as the app covers multiple muscle groups which I hope helps. Still new so will do a further review once I have used it for longer. “This is a great app, you can work to your level and at your pace, it suits uber fit or beginners and allows home or gym workouts. It leads you through each session with clear instructions and watch outs and allows you to track your progress. It’s a no nonsense plan that gives a great workout that develops with you over time. The final plus is great support from Matt the creator. Got a question he answers it, any problems he is there. I’m a fat 50 something trying to keep in shape and this app has made me want to train. “Fantastic. The number one issue with personal trainers is that after the session you don't have a reference for how to do the exercise which can be demotivating. With matts workout plans with videos for each and every exercise directly in the app it makes everything so much easier. Track reps, communicate in an active group of other mtb fit people. “I just started the MTB Fit App a little over a week ago. I find it really easy to navigate and I really like that it syncs with my Garmin Connect app and My Fitness Pal app. This was a major draw for me compared to other MTB specific fitness plans I have used in the past. I like metrics and being able to schedule and document my workouts. I wanted an app that focuses on strength training, and I like that there are also some intervals thrown in.
Matt explains and demos the movements well. The workouts are challenging but still doable, and can be made harder with more weight/resistance. I also like that I can use this app as a home plan with minimal equipment but also be able to use the gym plan as I get more equipment in my home gym. There is flexibility with how many workouts I want to do each week for times when I will be doing more riding or other activities. I also appreciate that Matt changes the exercises every 4 weeks so that our bodies continue to be challenged. I'm impressed and excited to continue using this app!”
