Mooncup has completely changed my period for the better! I only wished I’d converted years ago! I have always used tampons, but they were uncomfortable to remove at the end of my period, I’d always have to carry them in my tiny purse and I’d have to remember to buy them in time. (I hated pads with the crackling giveaway sound and smell!) My mooncup fits perfectly, has never leaked and is so discreet in its little bag that my husband thought it was a bag of sweets! As I’ve used tampons before, i found it easy to insert (I use the fold method) and once in I can’t feel it and sometimes forget I’m even on my period which is great! At first I found I could feel the stem so I cut mine right back leaving only a tiny stump and to remove I just use my muscles to push it out, pop my fingers up to grip it and voila! I understand it can be scary thinking it will get stuck but just start with the stem long for the first few goes and you soon get the hang of it. I actually went to a festival the second month of using it and emptied it in in a portaloo and reinserted and it was no drama at all. Usually I’d wash it out if in a bathroom but I just used clean tissue to wipe it for that time. It meant I could go the whole day without carrying supplies on me. I’ve told all my girlfriends about it and hope they convert as it’s life changing.

Great item. So glad I’ve found this instead of tampons or pads, comfy and so much more convenient to use!

I love the moon cup. I've been using it for around 6 years now and it's changed my periods for the better. I can now do everything (including swimming) that I would do when I'm not on my period. Although it takes a few attempts at first to work out how to apply it correctly, once you've got the technique you don't even notice you've got it in. It is truly an amazing invention, saving both money and the environment! I genuinely think everybody should give it a go!

It was definitely nice to use and know i don't need to change it regularly like a tampon BUT i had a full mental breakdown trying to take it out the 3 times that i used it. Was fully considering going to the hospital the third time so i have decided to retire the mooncup as spending 45 minutes on taking the cup out and ending up in pain and crying is simply not worth it.

Absolutely perfect! Practical, comfortable and easy to use, it was my first cup and I would never go back to pads and tampons! The delivery was quick, the quality is perfect. Highly recommend.

Mooncup is not the only sustainable option for a period but it is very useful and easy once you get in the habit and the hang of it. It can be inconvenient to have to have to wash it especially if you are out and about but overall I would highly recommend!

Hello – thanks for taking the time to leave us a review. It’s great to hear you’re getting on so well with your Mooncup menstrual cup and continue to find it easier to use the more you get the hang of it 😊 I’m sorry you’ve found it inconvenient to wash, particularly when out and about - getting used to doing this can be a bit of a learning curve at the start, but it does become second nature with time. We generally recommend taking a small bottle of water into the toilet cubicle with you – you can then remove the Mooncup, tip the contents into the toilet bowl, rinse with a small amount of water and re-insert. Alternatively, if you don’t have a bottle of water handy, you can wipe with toilet paper instead before re-inserting. If there’s anything else we can help with, please do get in touch with our friendly advice team at advice@mooncup.co.uk 😊
