After many years without periods, when I knew I'd start getting them regularly again I wanted to look into more sustainable methods. I'd always used pads and struggled with getting tampons in, so I was unsure about the cup, but wasn't really keen on the idea of period pads so thought I'd try. Turns out, I LOVE IT! It took me a few days to get used to it; I struggled getting it in, and freaked out upon removing it the first time as I thought it had gotten stuck. But the info on the website is really helpful, and it gets really easy with practise. At first I thought "how can this be easy...I won't be able to keep using it... It feels uncomfortable, how does anyone forget they've got it in??". Now I really don't feel it at all now I've got the placement right. I've now used it for two cycles, the second of which was at a 5-day music festival - I was very nervous about it but it was actually a great choice with little space to carry period pants/products and no sanitary bins. With feminine wipes, tissue and hand gel it went well. I use the 'tulip fold' as I need a very small point of insertion, and use my finger if needed to open it up when it's inside. Main tips I'd give: don't cut the stem too early, wait until you're completely comfortable inserting and removing and know where it will comfortably sit; do a low wide squat to insert and remove if struggling; breathe and relax on insertion and removal. Hope this is helpful!

My favourite period cup. I think it fits perfectly, I have never had any issue with leaking and it holds a lot.

This was a bit messy and I found it hard to position when I first got going. I’ve used it for 2 cycles now and I wouldn’t go back to tampons. I only wish I hadn’t trimmed the stem so much on mine!

I can't believe I waited so long to try this product. It is an absolute game changer! I have always struggled with tampons/pads due to very sensitive skin, the Mooncup means that I can have a period without my skin flaring up. I'm in my 30s and haven't had children, and use the Size B. Make sure to stock up on lube, which helps with insertion, and don't worry if you find it a bit tricky to use at first- it takes practice, but is worth it!

I was nervous at first trying something new and after the first day i was going to give up as i couldn’t get the hack of folding the cup etc.. but i came back on to the site and on to the help section and found alternative ways to fold for inserting and it is a game changer. So easy, its a money saver, comfortable to wear. I love it!

This product is amazing, so sad I haven’t used it before. So comfortable and easy to use… and no waste! Could not be more complimentary about this product, I’m telling all my friends!

I bought my second mooncup after using my first one for almost 7 years. It has travelled with me around the world and has saved me so much time and money. It is my favourite thing recommended by a friend and I also recommend it to others now. I can't imagine going back to pads or tampons. When I have a heavy flow, I do like to use period underwear as a backup very occasionally. But most often than not, the cup has no spillage and I am even brave enough to wear my nice fancy underwear.
