I ordered a size A, as those where the guidelines to woman who have given birth vaginally , I have never felt more discomfort wearing something for my period, I could feel it pushing against my internal walls the entire time, and when I try to remove it I could not physically grip the tail of the cup and the more I fought with it the more my vagina sucked it up, my whole hand was covered in blood it was all down my legs, I pinched my vagina several times and was moments away from going to a&e to ask them to remove the cup from my vag, so overall it was quite a traumatic experience and I will stick to tampons and pads xox

Hi Chanel, thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We’re very sorry to hear about your experience when using the size A Mooncup menstrual cup and can understand this being disappointing. You’ve done the right thing by taking a break from using the Mooncup®️ and we would recommend getting in touch with our friendly Advice Team, run by medical health care professionals, at advice@moncup.co.uk . If you would like to explore your experience further they will be happy to go through some information and questions with you to do so, and they can also see how best to resolve this for you. Thank you.
Great product! Exactly as advertised. Had no problems with the delivery of the product or the product itself. And there are enough resources, help guides etc on the moon cup website and generally online to learn how to use one. All in all, very happy to be using it. Took me a couple of tries and I also gave up on it for 4-5 months, but persevered and now am comfortable using it.

It’s fairly easy to use, just needs a bit of getting used to inserting in enough where you don’t feel it. Have used it easily on both light and heavy days with no problems. It wouldn’t be great to use if you’re squeamish. Emptying it out is bit in your face but certainly nothing so bad that would stop me from using it.

It doesn’t work when you have a slight prolapse unfortunately, Shame it didn’t mention that on the specification.

Hi Claire, thank you for taking the time to leave us a review We’re sorry to hear that the Mooncup menstrual cup hasn’t been working well for you and can understand this being disappointing. We’d always recommend that anyone who suspects or knows they have any gynaecological condition, including a prolapse, discusses the suitability of the Mooncup® for them personally with their Doctor before using it – which we appreciate you may have already done. Unfortunately the Mooncup® may not be suitable for or work effectively for everyone with a prolapse. If you would like to explore things further please get in touch with our friendly Advice Team, made up of medical health professionals, at advice@mooncup.co.uk. They can see how best to help resolve this for you moving forwards ?.
FINE but DONT TRUST THE SIZE GUIDE! - I followed the advice for sizing on the Mooncup website and originally bought the "larger" size (due to the fact I'm early thirties). What a waste of money that turned out! It was so uncomfortable and even after 2 days persistence I couldn't tolerate the discomfort any more and had to switch back to pads (which I am allergic to - so that tells you how uncomfortable I was with the Mooncup!) Anyway, I went on to order the "smaller" size and found this SLIGHTLY more comfortable, it will of course take some getting used to and I imagine will soften with time. Basically ladies; consider your own anatomy when purchasing and don't follow the size guide in blind faith like I did.

Hi there, thank you very much for taking the time to leave us a review. We’re sorry to hear you experienced discomfort when using the size A Mooncup menstrual cup and have bought the smaller size B Mooncup® instead, we can appreciate this being frustrating. We don’t recommend preserving with the Mooncup if it is uncomfortable and if you haven’t done so already, we’d also recommend taking a break from using your size B Mooncup® for now. If you would like to explore things further, please get in touch with our friendly Advice Team at advice@mooncup.co.uk. They will be able to go through some information and questions with you to see why you may be having this issue, and from there they can provide tailored support to help?.
I had heard of mooncups for years, but always thought it was too alternative. My daughter recommended, and now I would never look back at conventional products. It's excellent to gauge your flow instead of guessing with tampons and wasting them. Really happy my mooncup is much more environmental and economic.

I’ve used Mooncup for 3 periods now and don’t know why I didn’t start years ago. Easy, hygienic, comfortable and environmentally friendly. I’ll definitely be encouraging my daughters to use Mooncup when the time comes
