Excellent all round. Reasonable price. I did make a claim once (flat tyre) and it was handled quickly, fairly and efficiently.

The insurance cover was quick and easy to purchase and gave me peace of mind during my travel in South Africa. However, the acid test of any insurance company is how well they deal with claims. Fortunately I did not need to make a claim so I cannot judge how well they perform in this crucial phase of their business.

If you have an accident Eversure does not cover you entirely for the cost of a write off because most car hire companies will only insure damage to 3rd parties. The cost to replace a write off is higher than the cover that you have - beware

Superb price and great cover. I guess the test of the effectiveness / rating of a policy is always based on your experience when you need to claim; I haven't claimed as yet (and obviously hope not to!). However, overall I would say it does what it says on the tin, is underwritten by a robust and reputable underwriter and provides great cover!

Policy not worth the paper it is written on. The hire car I had received some scratches from what looked like someone with a nail or key. Eversure refused to pay the excess as in their small print, it stated I had to notify the police. How was I meant to do this in a foreign country, and for damage that you'd not report to the police in the UK? Avoid avoid avoid- typical use of small print to weasel ou of obligations.

Neil, Thank you for your review, We're sorry to hear about your refused claim with Eversure - This is very rare, but their is certain scenarios stated in the claims process and policy document where a police report is required, in most cases following an accident, theft, attempted theft and vandalism, for any excess claim under collision damage waiver. All insurers on our site will have an appeals process which can be found on their site or policy document, If you have any further questions, do not hesitate contacting us - However, please note we do not get involved in third party/insurance claims.
