“Excellent. Price was only a fraction of what the car hire rental company would have charged me. I had read reviews about the company that I was hiring the car from and several customers were forced/bullied into buying additional insurance cover as they were told their own policies didn't cover this, particularly relating to theft of the vehicle. So I was very pleased that Bettersafe's policy was easy to understand and clear about what was covered. When I collected the car I told them I had a policy with Bettersafe and I was not asked to buy additional insurance.”

“Well worth having though we did not have to use it. Very significantly cheaper than any alternative. However be prepared for the nice smiley girl who came out of the office to check the car, change her attitude when told we had not taken out their claims waiver insurance. She was all over the car like a rash, desperate to find something. Fortunately I had even vacuumed the muddy book prints out of the boot. This was with Gold/Interrent. Cannot comment on the claim process. JPM”

“Brilliant service - had hire car in Slovenia which was returned with bumper scratch...cost £300. No quibble from Bettersafe - got an immediate refund for full amount.”

“The reason for this is that the car hire company at Belfast International airport would not accept your Excess policy and insisted I either purchase theirs or have £1500 put against my credit card in case of any damages. So purchasing your excess was a complete waste of time/money.”
