Roasted by the coast

Our coffees are hand roasted in small batches in the village of Porlock on the coast of Exmoor. We select only the finest beans from around the world to create our lovely selection of blends. “This coffee is perfect for caffè latte (incidentally - latte rhymes with paté - it's Italian! - should not pronounced LAH-TAY as Americans do!). Very Italian, rich, aromatic, strong and dark. It's just what REAL coffee should be. We love Taylors of Harrogate rich Italian but we think this Espresso Veloute just has the edge. Terrific value if you buy four big bags. Being beans, they stay fresh for ages if you store them properly. Fabulous!”

“Had this in ground form before from the shop in porlock but have brought a coffee grinder so I have changed to beans this time. Not bitter and creates a good crema in my Gaggia Classic machine.”

“I had a superb flat white coffee at Miles' tearooms in Taunton many years ago. I asked which beans they used and was told Espresso Velouté. Have used them for my bean to cup machine ever since. On a number of occasions I've run out and had to use beans purchased at the supermarket but none of them match the flavour and enjoyment of Espresso Velouté.”
