“Most teas don't work well with our water. The local water is very hard and as a result most tea produces that awful scum. We have tried using a filter jug to remove the calcium from the water but this is only partially successful. I prefer black tea which makes the problem worse. When we discovered Miles west country original on a holiday to Devon our decision to buy some was based on its good traditional flavours. However on arrival home the lack of tea scum became apparent. This is a perfect tea for hard water. The option of buying the tea loose is another additional benefit as there has been concern about micro plastics getting into the environment from used teabags. Loose tea is compostable.”
