“More PACKED than GLASTO! I don’t know how those amazing cake bakers at the Meg Rivers Artisan Bakery are able to CRAM (there’s NO social distancing in this beautiful cake!) so much into this fruit cake! It is, quite literally, wall to wall fruit and nuts, with a gorgeous, lightly spiced scent, and a wonderful aroma and taste of French Brandy!
Even before cutting the first slice, the appeal of this cake was visually pleasing, with cherries and walnuts crowning the top. For those who find a Christmas cake too heavy ( I am not a marzipan fan!) this would be ideal - and it’s the middle of May, and I am already planning in advance!
