“The Norseman Irish Tenor Banjo is a fine instrument. It is loud, plays easy and has a good tone. i put two old (clean) sox in it to rid it of weird harmonics. It is heavier than I anticipated, but feels like a well made, solidly built instrument that should last. The folks at McNeela were always pleasant and handled my questions to my satisfaction. One wart in the process. The "free" gig bag was not included and was to be sent to me when it was received by McNeela. after a bit of communication, I ended up with a McNeela bag that fits my purposes acceptably. Overall, I would say that this Irish instrument from a company in Ireland is a solid value for the money. It can hold its own in any jam session. And it is attractive enough to get attention wherever it goes. I live in the Appalachian Mountains of West Virginia where the five string banjo is prevalent. I hope the Norseman will show folks that the Irish Tenor is worthy of attention. Peace, charlie”
