“The flute itself is very good! Easy to assemble and, for just starting, a good sound that doesn't hurt the ears. The closed keys are also a big help which keeps the sound in tune properly. The only reason I'm giving four stars is because the included Ultimate Flute Guide didn't come with it and I had to buy it separately. But overall, a good option if you're looking for a starter flute that doesn't break the bank.”

“As a beginner to the flute I appreciate this particular instrument's quality and tone. I had already given up on two cheap student flutes bought elsewhere that I could never get the low notes on. So I was really happy when right out of the box the McNeela Urbano was so much easier to play - sounding those low notes clearly. While I have not yet become proficient enough a beginner flute player to rate this flute on any other of its qualities, the ease of play alone makes it a superb choice for me. I also find it less "slippy" in the hand than those other flutes which is helpful as well... I was concerned that perhaps it was just me "getting better" at playing... but no, this flute is definitely more stable to hold and easier to play than both those lesser-quality flutes.”
