António Pinto Carvalho, founded APC Musical Instruments in 1976, with the purpose of constructing chordophones.
It was at the age of 10 when António Pinto Carvalho began to learn the art to which he would dedicate his life. By following the teachings of his grandfather he built his first guitars. Today, he is one of the most important luthiers in Portugal helped by his wife and two sons.
With over 50 employees, APC Musical Instruments is the largest Portuguese company in the industry, manufacturing a wide range of instruments for worldwide distribution. APC invests in the latest technologies, looking for the highest accuracy and precision possible in construction methods.
