Bought this whistle last year and I really love it! The sound is light and clear and the balance while holding it is nice.

A revelation of a whistle. I love my old Oak D whistle. It was my 1st whistle and IMO, Oak is the best of the mass produced variety. Recently I picked up a Killarney brass D from Mcneela and omg what a difference. Even volume in both octaves, clean C nat with the easier oxxooo fingering, and the sweetest 2nd octave you could ask for. It also has a pretty low breath requirement. Only cons I can think of it that it is somewhat prone to clogging, and I wish they would have etched a line for standard D tuning like some other makers do. Some folks don't like that this whistle is a lil heavy on the headpiece end which of course moves it's balance point but it doesn't bother me in the least. If you want a beautiful sounding, crazy responsive, and handsomely crafted whistle, this is the one. Tunes I thought sounded great on my Oak and Generations literally took on a new life with my Killarney. And as always, Mcneela prepped my whistle for it's trip across the pond as securely as you would like and it arrived in the PNW safe and sound. Mcneela is literally my favorite music shop ever and my go to when I need to purchase an instrument.

The whistle looks like quality, has a good weight to it, and sounds good in the second octave. Possibly a bit quieter than my Generation whistle, but I'll try and see what it can do. In comparison the Generation sounds like a rolled up tin can. Happy with the purchase.

This is my very first whistle! Being a musician and a new mom, I’m always looking for new creative ways to engage my daughter in music! We get to practice and learn together whilst enjoying the fruit of our cultural heritage. I’m very happy with my purchase! The instrument itself is simple in design and dainty. The sound quality is beautiful. Well done.
