“I absolutely love the GMT watch Night. I've had it for about a week and it's quite an intriguing watch!: sometimes it seems large, and sometimes, when the light catches the domed sapphire it 'shrinks' in size because of the optical illusion. Mostly the size falls in between.
I love the whole presentation/design: the 'camouflaged' GMT hand which makes its arrow float at the particular hour; the shape of the hour and minute hands; the understated numbers on the bezel and its satin look due to the brushed effect; the red sweeping second hand; the classy (small) size of the lumed indices; the flush sapphire back is very cool.
Interestingly I went into a high street watch shop and asked to look at a Tudor watch, not knowing that the one I liked was a Black Bay GMT, and I showed the shop assistant my Marloe to compare, and he said "That's a nice watch! What is it?" So I told him. The point is that this Marloe can actually compete with a watch costing 5-10 times more because of its great design and it's charm. Sure, I liked the Tudor but I felt a warmth to my Marloe, which I think is very difficult to pull off in a crowded watch market where everything is trying to copy what they think is desirable. For me, this watch is at a magical point in a ven diagram where a Divers watch meets a GMT (in an extremely subtle way) and a Dress watch. A lot of GMT watches have a garishly large GMT hand and arrow which I think looks a bit like a toy you might win at a fairground, but Marloe have rewritten what watch buyers have been expecting to see, and that's brilliant.
This combination is exactly what I've been looking for when I didn't even know it's what I wanted! A "go anywhere, do anything watch" indeed.”
