“The watch is great, looks good on the wrist and I love the design. The service from MWC was 1st class too. The watch was delivered earlier than I expected and excellent communication from the company. Bonus points for retrospectively adding a discount I forgot to apply at purchase. The box and associated materials are a nice touch. Will be keeping an eye out for future releases from MWC.”

“The Astro (Eagle) in black and orange, with an orange strap has attracted a number of my friends to comments on how nice it looks. The watch works really well, although I wish is said "Made in Britain" on it, or something like that. Otherwise, nice watch, good value for money and its made in the UK.”
“To add to the title, this wears really nicely on my 6.5" wrist. The case is a lovely shape and is well finished. The dial is also really nice and very legible. The option to choose a serial number (I got my birth month and year) was a bonus.
I opted for the re-entry orange strap which looked great in the images, but unfortunately wasn't a nice contrast on wrist. Fortunately I already had the black version of the strap from another watch so was able to swap it. These particular rubber straps have a really nice feel to them and are both flexible and comfortable.
I have three gripes and they're all very minor and totally acceptable at this price point:
- The concentric ring pattern that fills the space between the round dial and watch case plays really nicely with the light, but it's interrupted in the top right and bottom left corners by some distortion that looks like it's from a pin or something being moulded onto the underside. It's not visible in most lighting conditions, but you can't unsee it once you know it's there.
- The orange tip of the second hand begins somewhere between the indices and the matte ring round the outside of the dial. Maybe it looked better this way, but I can't help wondering if it would look better lined up with one or the other.
- The rotor is a little noisy. My Baltic Aquascaphe also has a Miyota 9039 in it and it's totally silent, but this sounds more like the Miyota 821A in my Laco.
This is a unique, well put together watch that remains both wearable and accessible to me with my modest wrist and wallet. Thanks Marloe!”
