Alas there are two flaws, which while they don’t make me value this watch any less could have been so easily rectified - or maybe I’m wrong.
Firstly don’t expect to read the time easily in the dark, it is extremely difficult.
Secondly the number of quarter winds to see it through a day took me by surprise
My Omega needed 8, this watch unless I have one which is faulty works out at about 20. It took me 3 days of it stopping during the day and night before I assume I hit the amount of “back pressure” the designers allude to.
Why so many, and why no numerical approximation?”
“I had been hankering after the Haskell since it was released, I already have a Lomond and Cherwell both of which are superb, the added kudos of the Swiss movement had me sold, couldn't wait for it to arrive the packaging alone was a piece of theatre, and the watch didn't disappoint. The icing on the cake was my first edition Coniston arriving the very next day, 2 Marloe's in 1 week ......happy days.”
