“I already own one of these myself but bought another one as a wedding present for my brother. He couldn’t be happier with it and it was proudly on the wrist for the big day. It was bought with the steel bracelet which was a very nice addition and looked even better in the flesh than on the website. The Haskell Sand is such a nice, classic watch and is one of my favourites if not the favourite ”
“Exactly what we have come to expect from the Marloe Watch Company, superbly styled watch, beautiful textured dial and customer service that out strips any other company I know.Well done all at MWC”
“Apart from a smattering of Sonic/Mario/Mickey mMouse watches as a kid and a ‘surfy’ Animal one when I was teenager this is truly my first real watch.
I’ve been quite reluctant to wear a watch as I do not particularly like the feeling of things around my wrist.
I work in education teaching outdoor skills and pursuits etc, getting my phone out to see the time is not really appropriate, and also when it’s cold it’s an unreliable time keeper due to the battery discharging rapidly.
The time had come for me to find something better. I spent a good long while (18 months) looking into cheaper options, tried on many that belonged to friends (including the Apple Watch), and nothing worked for me.
If I were going to wear something everyday, I it had to be a watch that would last forever, survive my job, look lovely, and I’d feel a sense of pride to wear.
Marloe popped up during my search and I was instantly in love with the look of the Haskell. I found it difficult to choose between the face colours but opted for sand as it really lends itself well to many different occasions. I’m now armed a few straps that I use depending on the day that lays ahead and the watch transforms from a rugged woodman's timepiece with my canvas nato strap to an elegant dress piece with the supplied tan leather strap.
A lot of my students wear smart watches ands how me everything it can do, every metric it reads, what apps can run etc, but they never mention the ability to keep time...
There’s something quite exhilarating about the routine of winding a watch in a the morning in a world dominated by smart watches and other technical devices vying for your attention.
It’s understated style lends itself to many occasions, it’s tough and can be used in all weathers, and most of all I WANT to wear it.”
“Really nice watch (and strap). Quick delivery and very well packaged. Only downside is I find winding it up quite difficult. I thought I had strong fingers but it’s quite firm and ends up painful if it needs a lot of winding,”
“Had to wait a while until the watch was back in stock, but then good communication, delivery and presentation: oh, nearly forgot, the watch looks and works excellently!”
