Haskell - Sand Reviews

4.9 Rating 77 Reviews
I've had my Haskell Sand for around six weeks now. On its arrival I was impressed with the packaging and presentation. it has a clear fuss free dial face for ease of looking at. The watch build quality is good and the time keeping is excellent, however my sailcloth wrist strap is showing some deterioration and feathering already after only a short time. I have another sailcloth strap on another brand watch and they have the holes in the wrist strap ringed in metal unlike the Haskell Sand. I will shortly be taking my Haskell Sand to Alaska for three months while I work there. Hope it stands up to expectations.

Really nice feel and look to though watch. It was the first Marloe I bought and it led me to buy more due to the quality and style.

This is my third Marloe. It’s an absolute belter of a watch. When the price was reduced I couldn’t resist. The dial is truly stunning and once again flawless customer service.

I have bought a number of Marloe watches and I find myself with 3 Haskell models. The Sand is a very easy to wear watch anyday. The way Marloe got the dial done it does look like Sand. It is a very easy to read watch, great dimensions and it seems to go with most straps. Definitely one of my favourites. The service from Marloe was exceptional too. All round perfect!

Stunning design and texture dial. The manual wind mechanism is a pleasure to operate and quickset date, hacking seconds and a smooth 28,800 BPH action are all pleasing at this price point. This is a rugged and stylish watch for everyday use. I chose the perforated tan strap which complements it nicely. Quick release spring bars are another thoughtful and appreciated detail. I don’t agree with some reviewers who claim the date window is too small - it’s a subtle detail but absolutely in proportion to me. The case is where I feel the watch is slightly let down. The lack of bezel space means the watch wears abnormally large on the wrist. Some may enjoy this, but I found it unwieldy, and it’s where the watch loses its top star for me. The lack of contrasting finish on the case is to be expected for this price but its shape does not live up to the elegance of the dial. Finally the fixed keeper is a little too close to the buckle for my liking.
