“I own a number of Marloe watches and the Solent Cardinal is a great addition. It is so easy to read the time at a quick glance. The yellow detail with the white on the stark black dial in the matte case makes this a very funky design which I love. You also get 100m water resistance, and if you put it on a black strap makes it easily an everyday watch with some cool design features. It's very comfortable to wear too, and would definitely recommend it.”
“I already owned a Solent Windward, along with a Coniston, and my wife luckily pushed me to get the Cardinal as I kept looking at the website. I was undecided as I haven't owned a matte cased watch before. I also have several other mechanical watches, including very good Swiss, German and UK based ones.
I am so glad I got the Cardinal, so clear, so legible, so comfortable. It certainly gets the most wrist time so the only downside is that I wear my Windward less now.
A note on the silicone straps - amazingly comfortable. I have numerous straps and bracelets as I am a bit of a strap swapper and have a couple of expensive rubber straps that I usually wear on sereval watches during the summer months. The plain looking silicone quick release straps supplied with the Solents are just so comfortable. We recently went on a fortnights holiday to the south of France and I just took the Cardinal with the yellow silicone along with the gray silicone and switched straps after a week to ring the changes.
I would highly recommend both the watch and the company as I had several very helpful emails regarding straps before purchase.”
