My first purchase from your company has been a most rewarding experience. So much so that I re-boxed the watch and wrapped it in Christmas paper to open again with my pareents - allowing them to share in that carefully contrived process. I know that sounds odd - unless you own a Marloe, then it will make perfect sense.
Having previously had a Rolex Celini, and an Omega Speedy - both sold for profit (phew)…I wanted to narrow my small collection from four watches to two. One stylish urban explorer and one smart fitness watch only. I have been looking for something that said less about ‘their’ luxury brand/ concept on culture, fashion and often ego (along with craftmanship) to something quietly about me, for me - with a nod to heritage.
Changing careers from a world of high expectation and ostentatiousness, called for me to buy something that was less of a show piece to state ability and success to something of personality, a bit of story telling and simply less bling…and although my other watches were the most low-key in their respective ranges they did not embody what I decided I was now looking for.
A watch is a significant and emotional choice, and having shopped around for some years for an all rounder - I never quite got to the point of satisfaction and purchase. Prior to finding Marloe I was focusing in on either Bremont or Christopher Ward for british design, small batch, some idenity that wasn't luxury while still being uncomplicated, readable and timeless in style.
Marloe fufilled those desires and some. I have found what I was looking for in abundance and your design ethic, attention to detail, brilliant packaging and most important fabulous watch making skills - plus excellent price point is great. The weight, balance, materials and overall feel is of far greater value than a watch that costs twice as much but give half the joy.
