“I am so proud to own my Coniston - Bluebird!
I am a bit of a watch collector and am very pleased with the watch I brought from the Marloe Watch Company. I haven't taken it off since it arrived and simply enjoy looking at it.
I mentioned that Marloe where easy to do business with, well they are and in particular Oliver. I have large wrists so need a bigger strap than normal. Oliver helped me through the process to get what I needed. Thank you Oliver you were a great help.
If you like watches then I'd recommend treating yourself to a Marloe watch, I very much doubt you'll regret it.”
“Having found Marloe Watches by chance during a stay on Conistion when lock down started I'd decided the Bluebird looked great and was something I really would like. I watched all of the Road to Coniston videos and loved the story. I messaged Marloe with a couple of questions and Oliver came straight back with answers. It's difficult to know for sure that a watch is for you when you can't see it on the wrist before buying. Whilst still mulling it over, Father's Day arrived and, along with fab cards and some lovely gifts, a larger box than the unusual Father's Day presents might be found in was handed over :) bigger than might contain a watch so I dismissed that hope immediately ;) But what a fantastic surprise! There was the Bluebird! The unboxing experience is wonderful. Our break (cut short due to lock down) was one that had more significance than I'll go into here, and the watch had come to mean more than perhaps it should, so it meant a great deal as a Father's Day surprise. When I saw the serial number of the limited first edition run of 1,000 I then came to know that you can actually choose your number. Didn't spot that in any of the videos. The watch was beautiful with the brown strap. The prism like front face is so crystal clear it makes you want to stare at it while changing angles. The watch was very slightly smaller on my wrist than I'd imagined from how it appeared in the images and videos. But that didn't detract from how it looked. And that is 'classy.' The blue on brown strap was a great combination. When viewing the watch on line I'd liked the look of the red perforated strap, so bought a second strap later too, to allow a choice of strap. That strap gives the watch a slightly trendier, younger look. The brown looks smarter, to me. The watch does gain a little time and over 2 or 3 days it's crept forward amlost 5 minutes. I don't see that as an issue given the 1 second it takes to pop the crown and turn back when I notice it. Accuracy isn't what this watch is for me. Given the obvious attention to design detail and the whole experience the watch brings, I am surprised it's the price it is. I could see this being priced as a high end watch. Don't tell Marloe Watches that though! Perhaps it's the accuracy point, I don't know. Like many (most?) guys, I like watches and look for ones that are slightly different (appeal or design) in some way and this one fits that bill. My most expensive watch is a Brietling Super Avenger (silver wedding gift) and the Bluebird currently sees that watch preserved in its box. Love the Coniston Bluebird and wonder which Marloe Watch I'll fancy next.”
“When I was a school boy I had a hand wound Lanco watch I then progressed on to a LeMania automatic. I loved the fact that these watches had "proper" mechanisms and weren't driven by batteries. The Coniston Bluebird is a delight with its open back revealing the cogs, springs and mechanism. It has a striking masculine design, bold and striking. It is a joy to hand wind it every morning and watch the seconds hand move around the face. I am thrilled with my purchase.”
“Bought as requested and arrived as informed.
