“Well this is the main part of the bike and the bit that Mango do themselves. My Level 2 frame is rather nice! Even without any specific tubing badges (Tange? Reynolds? True Temper?) you can tell that the tubing is of a nice quality by the sound resonance when ‘ping’ your fingernails along the tubing. As it’s a welded frame, then it’s a CrMo, rather than Manganese Moly tube set and the welds are nice and small and generally very neat. The paint is flawless and very impressive, 10/10 for the paintwork whoever did that. The graphics are also very nicely applied. The only downsides to the frame are; why only one set of bottle bosses!? C’mon, how am I meant to ride any distance with that!? At least make it a chargeable option for a second set, like Mercian had on their online frame builder. Secondly, and this is an even bigger faux pas, you went to the trouble of fitting rack and mudguard mounts at the dropouts, and rack mounts on the seatstays, but no chainstay bridge or, what would be even better, a threaded boss on the rear of the seat tube to mount the other end of the mudguard!! A nice extra on the premium Level 2 frame would be inbuilt chain tensioners, maybe the Level 2 V2.0 will get them.”
