“I thought £20 each ill give them a go only going to light up the loft, turned up well packaged opened them and i wont lie first through was a bit flimsy but 3 brackets on each fitting and they are not going anywhere and when I turned them on WOW the loft looks like a flood light foot ball pitch. If your looking to light up an area you wont go far wrong with these.”

“Whilst the end result is a brilliant white light, it was hard work getting there! I suspect most people are replacing old fluorescent strip lights when they buy the LED variant. The strip light receives power from the middle. This LED batten provides 6” of mains flex from one end, so it is intended that the end fits over the power supply! There is only a gap behind the unit along the 2 edges, making it tricky to run an added extension lead from the 6” flex to a centre power supply. There’s no space for a choc block connector behind the unit, so that has to be pushed up into the loft space. Fitting to a stippled (points sticking down) Artex ceiling will require the stipple points to be cut off local to the clip locations, otherwise the unit won’t seat properly and engage in the clips. Not easy but the light is excellent.”

“I am on my 7th batten light now. They illuminate brilliantly. They are inconspicuous,easy to fit and wire. Best workshop light! Fitted a couple for the old folk who can now find stuff in the kitchen. Might be too bright for many as s full time light. Very good value. Will have to wait and see how long they last.”

“These lights are great replacements for old strip lights. The light is great and the unit is easy to fit. It’s a pity the light are only a small reduction in electricity use. But on the whole these lights a just what I wanted.”
