“The newer version of these lights aren’t as good as the ones I bought 2 years ago. The reason I put this is the 120 span for detection is only good for a head on approach so any lights that are fitted down paths or at the side of houses do not pick people up unless they are about 2 metres away which is not the idea as dark paths and sidewalks need illuminating from a greater distance for safety and security reasons. I have tried moving them down but still no joy. As I have been fitting these for the last 2 years and have had 2 myself I am loathed to recommend them these days. If anyone has my tips on how to optimise these new sensors it would be very much appreciated for future fittings if I decide to use them. Thanks.”

“Floodlight is reasonably robust for the price and only issue is detecting people in a narrow passage way with a 120 degree detection angle but will keep adjusting position of PIR until optimum operation is obtained.”

“Simple to fit although a gap in the base unit would allow wires to pass through to the junction box. Excellent, bright light coverage from the directionally adjustable two units to over 15 metres.”
