Crompton tubes were delivered promptly and were very well packaged to avoid possible damage in transit. I am very pleased with my puchase from Lyco as the service was excellent.

Rewired an old fluorescent luminaire fitting as per the clear instructions , fitted the tube, and now a nice bright LED unit. Works perfect. If I were to have a minor niggle, it would be over the supplied warning sticker (or lack of). Crompton provide a sticker warning future users that the luminaire has been re-wired, with a link to the website explaining further, which the instructions state you must install (and I did). I don't think my 3ft tube is unusually placed - most tubes like this are used for feature downlighting meaning the actual luminaire is fairly concealed, and therefore only point at which a future bulb replacer would see the sticker is whilst removing the lamp, and probably immediately after. However, having removed the lamp, read the sticker, and ordered the correct replacement. I imagine many future users will then be stumped by the instructions on their new shiny lamp, which state when inserting the new lamp that "LIVE to lamp stamp end of tube only". Now how many people removing the old bulb to check it for ordering a new one would have made sure to record which way round it was before taking out? A not electrically confident person trying to replace this lamp in the future could easily end up needing to hire an electrician just to tell them which way round the new bulb has to be put in, or just winging it and hoping that it isn't catastrophic to the bulb (the instructions are clear you must put the bulb the right way round, but not clear on what happens when you don't). I ended up on my luminaire alongside the sticker marking with marker pen "this is the live end". But I wonder why there is not a second sticker provided to mark this.v
