“This shaving bar is a proper man tool and a bit of luxury. Smells very fresh. Generates a satisfying lather and a close shave. Leaves my skin smooth and regenerated. Great start to the day!”
“Although the fragrance is very fresh and appealing, I found that this bar didn't lather sufficiently for a truly comfortable shave. Perhaps this bar is adequate for areas with finer hair, but for thick and coarse male facial stubble it wasn't nearly enough to avoid damage to the skin. The result was a rather battered face I'm afraid. I did try to use the bar again, this time applying with a shaving brush, but was unable to shave without discomfort and have abandoned the bar altogether.”

We're really sad to hear that the shaving bar wasn't right for you as we worked hard on getting the Eco Warrior bars to be "as good as" the items they're intended to replace. So we're a little surprised that the lather wasn't creamy enough even with a shaving brush, but of course everyone is different.
This bar is intended to replace a shaving foam and work well solo, and so far we've had great feedback on it. On coarse stubble, we're wondering if a hot towel shave might make a difference? You may not want to risk it if you've had an offputting experience with the bar, but could prior steaming with a hot cloth and application of some oil improve the situation? Just a thought. Would love to know if it makes a difference.
