“So disappointed. Ordered this because I wanted a lavender handsoap and this is labelled as such, but it isn't. It may contain lavender oil but any hint of that is completely swamped by the citrus smell of the other oils. I realise I should have read the detailed ingredients list before ordering, so my fault, but it was a waste of money. If only it had been called lavender & citrus like the bar soap I would have known to avoid it.”
Thanks so much for taking the time to write this review and give us a chance to explain. Because we only use pure natural essential oils in our products the batches of oils can vary (unlike using totally controllable synthetic fragrances). The ingredients list on the back of pack does state this is a blend of lavender oil (over 40%) and then other oils including mainly Sweet Orange and May Chang which can sometimes slightly win over the pure lavender oil - depending on the batch. The lavender is by far the largest quantity of oil in this blend so it is there, along with its aromatherapy benefits. Like you suggest, the next consignment is already actioned to be relabelled as Citrus and Lavender in both the hand soap and bar soap to counter the volatility of the oil batches and this will roll out later this year - Mother Nature wins ;)!
