“Excellent built quality and easy to mount - the steel is of good thickness and looks like it's lacquered and the glass is thick and strong - unless you accidentally drop it, I don't think it's going to break. The mounting is quite adjustable - you can get it just so and then tighten it up. Easy to wire up - standard 3 connections and rubber/silicone gaskets on all key parts to keep moisture out. It's not mentioned anywhere in the description or detail but a sticker on the rear implies that it should be mounted in a vertical position. I have mounted it horizontally with no issues - there is nothing technical from preventing a horizontal mount and I don't see any disadvantage or issue with doing so other than the light direction - vertical and the light is cast upwards and out - horizontal and it's more focused to the left or right. In my case, I wanted it illuminating more to the right and I was mounting onto overlapping boards that would prevent a flat mount in a vertical position. Not marine or coastal grade - I suspect that being pounded with salt spray would shorten it's life but it's great for your average house elsewhere - Recommended.”
