“This is a very nice-looking lamp post which is well-constructed, sturdy and easy to assemble. The six glass panes fit in securely and it comes with a template and L-shaped concrete anchors (which you are supposed to sink into wet concrete). The instructions could be more comprehensive as it's actually quite an involved process installing a mains-powered post lamp outdoors (digging a suitable hole for the concrete base, installing a conduit to take the cable through the concrete, mixing and pouring concrete, setting up the anchor and getting it level in the wet concrete - don't use fast-setting concrete whatever you do! - digging a trench to take the cable, wiring it up, etc...). You have to figure all of this out yourself. Also, the basic instructions suggest a very basic electrical installation which I felt was inadequate: in practice, I used SWA cable and terminated it into a small junction box that (only just) fitted into the base of the lamp. Doing it "properly" was a tricky installation that took me quite a long time. However, the end result is worth it and I'm very happy with the product! One final note: the listing is incorrect and states the maximum wattage as 60W. It is not - it is clearly marked as 10W which therefore limits you to LED bulbs. I was initially disappointed about this but am now ok with it as the LED bulbs are more than bright enough to light up most of the garden and available in warm white which looks great.”

“delivery was quick and the item was well packed. When my electrician was installing the light there was one of the small screws that holds the top of the light on. I contacted Customers services and they were very obliging, I was sent a new screw in the post a couple of days later.”
