“Chuffed to bits with this bulb it looks the part and solves a conundrum for me of either having to buy a lamp with a built in dusk to dawn sensor or fitting a mechanical timer in the house. And it has a very low power draw that i can confirm is approx 4w thanks to my smart meter. It certainly is a very old fashioned warm white. It gives off a pleasing welcome glow. I would not use it if you need very bright clear illumination. You will need something a bit more powerful. But to welcome you home to your front door you can see exactly where your stepping and just what keys you need to pull out of your pocket. The built in photocell is fantastically well hidden within the screw-cap so it doesn't spoil the retro look of the bulb and it works a treat! My only quibble would be i wish it was a couple of watts (or lumens) brighter or if Lucide or lighting direct offered a brighter version in a similar style. Top stuff!”
