“The long 5-year warranty on these bulbs is their main selling point - the manufacturer is obviously confident in their longevity. At 350 lumens brightness, these are toward the low end of what constitutes a "50W equivalent" bulb - you may find your room a little dull after swapping them. (The packaging for my last set of 50W halogen lamps showed 380lm; note that some other LED "50W equivalent" lamps are rated at up to 500lm.) I was able to compensate for this by adjusting the spotlight fitting to direct more light at the places where I really need it, at the expense of leaving other parts of the room a bit "dingy". The colour temperature also seems lower than the 2700K rating would suggest. The light is visibly yellower than the 2700K G9 LED capsule lamps I bought at the same time - and, indeed, the halogen lamps these LED lamps replaced.”
