“I have been asked to review Woodpigeon, but this is actually a review of the same yarn in Owl colour. The Woodpigeon socks were my first pair and I have already reviewed them, so I am sorry you appear not to have received it. However as the only difference is in the colour, I think you can safely say that this review applies to both. Once I got over the shock of finding how very fine 4ply wool is, and converting to circular needles, I really enjoyed having my own made to measure fine wool socks. They feel very cosy and look beautiful. In fact, if you check you recent records, you will see that I have just order two more bird colours plus two plain colours. I think this a good indication of how much I am enjoying using and wearing them. I find that I cannot get two pairs out of 100gms, so will knit the patterned cuffs and finish off the feet in a matching plain colour. I continued the k2 p2 ribbing along the topof the feet to get a snugger fit but still with the same number of stitches. I love them!”
