“I have a pair of tan Whitewell
I purchased size 5, following sizing advice to go down if you’re half a size: I have wide feet & usually take size 5.5
The tan ones fit but I had to stretch them & haven’t worn them as I still feel unsure about all day comfort (I’m ‘not young’ & my feet can be tender)
I ordered the same shoe in Chestnut Grained (what a great colour - to my mind better than black: but dark, only richer) & ordered 5.5 this time
The difference isn’t huge, but I definitely feel the comfort everyone delights about in the bigger size
I’m ordering the tan again, in 5.5!
Does anyone here want a pair of new ie unworn tan size 5 Whitewell which have been slightly eased by one overnight use of a shoe stretcher?”

They're also great out of work. Which for me is key. I'd rather have fewer pairs of shoes which are more sustainable and well made.
