“Having already purchased these shoes in navy, I decided to go for a more earthy style for my dog walks on the Somerset levels. The bottle green (khaki) boots fit the bill perfectly. A walk on the levels at this time of year is always a very damp experience, very often you find yourself up to your ankles in water on those peaty soils, and at best, the long meadow grass is always full of dew. I have worn my boots daily for over a month, I must admit that with the stretch gussets in these boots, I was doubtful that my feet would keep dry for very long, but I can honestly say that not only have these kept my feet dry, they are also the most comfortable slip on boots that I have ever owned, they tackle the muddy and slippery conditions very well, and they do not feel at all loose on the foot, I treat them with Leather balsam once a week and they come up like new for a trip into town.
