“I have ended up with a great pair of boots, but Lanx didn't make it easy.
I bought the initial purchase as a default guest shopper. As a result, my initial purchase did not result in any loyalty points. Lanx's boot sizing information can best be described as 'organic'. It is difficult to work out what is the best size. After taking their sizing information and getting size 10 these turned out tg be a little on the extra snuggly side. I ordered a size 10.5 but in a different (similar) style because they had run out of the boots I wanted. The larger size turned out to be way too big so I stuck with the smaller boot and am slowly stretching them by use. They are, after all, a great looking and well made pair of boots.
I returned the larger boots and was charged a total of £12.50 in postage for the pleasure of trying to decipher Lanx's sizing strategy. I sent Lanx an email to point out that the second pair of boots were effectively an exchange but received no reply.
In all, I wish Lanx well. I know how hard it is to get a small venture up on its legs, but their sizing is a mess and their customer service needs work. Would I use them again? Probably not. It was just a bit too much hassle.”
