“Purchased to replace some earlier units (3 years) that had started producing noise from the electronic boxes. I note this model has a different (?) unit although spec is the same. Very happy that the universal connector allowed an easy swap over. Time will tell whether all the earlier units will develop similar tendencies. PS tried a comparison with the 8w version. There is no discernible brightness difference but the beam angle is wider on 8w. If that's not an issue the 8w is slightly cheaper!”

“I've just replaced 4 of my kitchen lights with these. They are very easy to fit and they look great. I particularly like the magnetic covers and the easily accessible switch to change the colour from warm white to cool white to daylight. I don't write reviews normally but these are excellent!”

“I have purchased the SOLO all in one downlight to replace a similar rated LOXA downlight which has failed after three and a half years. The colour match is good on the warm white setting, and the light was delivered promptly. Wiring the light is quite fiddly, as it uses a sprung loaded push in connctor block for connecting the mains 240v supply to the power supply. Live, Neutral and Earth leads need to be the same length, stripped to the same length of bare copper, and inserted simultaneously into the connector block to get good contact, difficult to do in a dark loft! Other than that the light is a good match, and time will tell if it lasts the 5 years guaranteed.”
