“Wonderful dress but the dress on the picture seems loonger, the skirt was short. And the dress is small over the shoulders (maybe I m just big), maybe some stretch material had been better for this part of the dress to fit more kinds of body s? But it is beautiful!!”

“I m so confused by this dress and I m convinced the sizing is awry here! I ordered my standard size 10, but I couldn t identify how it went on because I could only just squeeze my arms through the holes - and my arms are on the skinnier side!! The waist also swamped me; I m 27.5" and it fit me more like a 29-30" in the waist. I m so confused. Even my partner couldn t figure it out...I d recommend sizing up, but I m a bit worried the sizing around the arms is peculiar! It zipped up but my arms were pinned and it left marks. Odd. And I wasn t sure if it was supposed to fold over or not. I m sending it back but with huge regret as I am normally such a huge fan of Lady V dresses!! Agh.”

“Strolling on a vanilla cloud! The Bardot dress is stunning - this is one of the nicest and delicate fabric I ever touched. Great, great material! It is so soft and fluffy and feels wonderful on the skin, the linded skirt is perfect. The colour is really like a very creamy vanilla ice cream and with all the softness of the fabric and the wonderful cut it would have been my dreamdress! It fitted perfect all over in waist and bust (wearing a size 22 and as usual in all my Lady V dresses!). BUUUT - however sadly I have to say sizing around the shoulder part is peculiar! The part around the shoulder is soooo unbelievable tight, this can be just a mistake! And I am actually small in my shoulder part! So this dream dress had to travel back - I am very, very sad about that - as this is truly a wonderful dress and maybe there comes another charge with far more width in the neckline across the shoulders! I do hope so as I would definitly go for it again!!! :0* Doris”

“Awful zip (could not get it up even though the dress was looser at the waist than most others, brought it round the front to try, got my partner to help, this zip would not do up) and when I pulled the dress over my bust and held it in place where it would have sat in an attempt to judge whether or not to request a replacement a lot of bra showed at the front of the dress through the arm hole, making me think it is not for busty women. The bardot neckline seemed a little tight as well so perhaps also not for women with big arms/shoulders. This is definitely the worst dress I have got from Lady Vintage who are otherwise a great company who produce quality dresses. Nice colour and I was looking forward to having a dress with a built in petticoat. TLDR Don t bother if you are busty/broad shouldered/chubby armed/require a functioning zip.”

“I read the other reviews on this dress but ordered it in a size up for a wedding as I was totally in love with it. Absolutely disappointed when it arrived, like previously mentioned the shoulders were so tight I couldn t move and looked ridiculous (I also couldn t figure out if the top part folded over as it stuck out so much). The waist was also way to big I found (normally I don t have this problem upon sizing up). Overall not worth the Â£50 I paid and it has been returned. First time I ve ever been let down by lady v :( very poorly made.”
