I bought a Youngman Telescopic loft ladder from Ladderstore on the 13th of October this year. The problem that I had was a small sized hatch and close proximity of walls and plumbing to the hatch in the loft space. The carpenters had suggested increasing the size of the hatch which would have involved considerable work for them plus bringing in a plumber to move hot and cold water pipes. The telescopic ladder was a perfect solution and the information on your site made it straightforward to determine that suitability. It was simple to install and gave easy access to the loft.

We purchased the Youngman 2.6m telescopic loft ladder to replace a standard loft ladder that we considered dangerous as any sideways weight would twist the ladder due to poor quality. It was also always in the way of a walkway as could not be easily retracted. We were impressed at the compactness of this product and the quality is excellent. We purchased the ladder from Ladderstore having found you via a Google search. It was the first time we had purchased from you but it was a very good internet purchase. All parts of the process were first class and could not fault any part of the service you provided.

I was looking for a telescopic ladder to solve a loft ladder problem on a job I was doing, in Carephilly, South Wales. I boarded out the loft in this particular house, but surrounding the loft hatch is the hot water tank, a considerable amount of pipe work and roofing trusses. There was no room for a conventional loft ladder to fold away on the loft floor. Replacing the hatch with a larger, combined hatch and ladder assembly was also not an option due to the lack of space and the surrounding pipe work. The solution was to raise the loft floor, on loft legs that you normally use to maintain the insulation creating a solid floor over the pipe work and then opt for a ladder that would store directly over a relatively small loft hatch. Online I compared several telescopic ladders, I didn't just select the cheapest but went for the website with what I thought was the best information about the ladder and its installation. I've installed dozens of loft ladders, but this was my first telescopic ladder install. I wanted to know, and be certain, on the day at the job, I knew what I was doing and it would work. I ordered the ladder from your website and it was delivered quickly. Brilliant. The install went well too. My only niggle with the ladder is that it is not adjustable once installed. The adjustments (length) have to be made prior to installation. In my case, this meant getting the ladder in place, deciding to change the standing length but having to take the ladder down to do so. I think, by design, this should be possible with the ladder in situ. But it's a minor thing. I'm used to grinding, grating steel and aluminium ladders which aren't that pleasant to use, but functional. This telescopic thing is like something off the Starship Enterprise, it's amazing. Absolutely brilliant. I installed it and immediately developed loft ladder envy. I've never before considered upgrading my own loft ladder, but I just might have to. A straightforward job I was pleased with and the customers were well impressed with it too. It looks the part, easy to operate and is really sturdy in use. Ten out of ten.

We installed the loft ladder as a permanent fixture to avoid the need for digging out a step-ladder every time we wanted to get into the loft. The fixed ladder is safer and more convenient. We chose the telescopic ladder since we're space constrained in a number of dimensions. Installing the ladder was straight-forward and relatively quick; and the ladder itself seems well-made and of good quality. I found Ladderstore online when doing some research into the critical dimensions for fitting a loft ladder. The detailed descriptions of the various heights and clearances on the Ladderstore website helped me make sense of the various options. That in addition to the fact that you're based down the road from me gave me confidence to purchase the latter from Ladderstore.

After many years of struggling upstairs with a step ladder every time I wanted to get into the loft, I finally decided to invest in a decent loft ladder. Although there are many 'cheap' aluminium ones around, I wanted a quality ladder that would last a lifetime and the Youngman Telescopic Loft Ladder was recommended to me by a friend. I haven't been disappointed, The Youngman Telescopic Loft Ladder is sturdy, functional and very well made giving total confidence when you use it, unlike the 'creaky' slide down aluminium ones that are around.
