We have a very difficult loft access and this product now gives us easy access. Very pleased with it.

Used it regularly for three months now and its so good to use. Stable, fits a small standard loft hatch size, doesn't need much clearance in the attic or on the ground. Other products I looked at would have put a hole in my wall when i extended out the ladder, but this one is very up and down as telescopic nature suggests! Pretty easy to fit really.

The ladder is incredible. Occupies very little space, is very strong, looks great, and is a doddle to install and use. Converting the loft access to a hatch takes a little time - though this is clearly no fault of the ladder itself. Can't recommend this ladder highly enough. Worth every pound of the premium you'll pay over a normal loft ladder for design this good. The installation of the main support bracket is a doddle - no more than 5 minutes to measure / align, and install. Attaching the ladder to this bracket is also a cinch. The only difficulty lies in installing the springs that assist the deployment / recovery process. These are large springs, and require substantial strength to stretch to the required length. Additionally, it required a thin, strong metal bar threaded through the eye of the spring to give something substantial to pull on, rather than attempt to pull the small eye on the spring itself. The only issue was the installation of the springs. The knecked / grooved sections of the frame that the springs sit into are very shallow, so stretching the springs to the extent required is potentially risky, as the springs can easily pop off / out of the groove, with painful consequence. Also, stretching the springs to double their relaxed length requires a positively herculean effort when perched atop a temporary access ladder...

This is a sturdy, well made ladder. Fitting is straightforward once you've worked out how to stretch the springs (I used a long loop of strong string pulled down with one foot while standing firmly on the floor). You have to modify the hatch, of course, to make it hinge down. The ladder takes up almost no space in the loft, and there's nothing to trip over when the ladder is down. I have not given it full marks just because lowering and raising it does require you to reach up (nearly 2 metres above floor level)to unhook or secure the ladder, and I feel this may be difficult when I get older. If you're happy with the reach, then I'd recommend this ladder.
