“Once the drivers know these steps are there to make life safer and easier they tend to be used. Every driver I have spoken to knows another driver who has been involved in a serious accident climbing on and off lorry beds. Some I have spoken to have been that driver. Broken ankles and or legs, and dislocated hips.”
