iWALK 3.0 Hands Free Crutch Reviews

Speedy delivery, neatly packaged, easy to assemble (thanks to the excellent videos). Took my first teetering steps within half hour of delivery. Within a short while I could manage from one end of the house to the other. Following day I tried the stairs (my stairs are peculiar, straight on or branch to the right with a diagonal step). Managed to get up and down safely but will need a bit more practice before going upstairs to sleep. Yesterday went out to the car and practiced getting in and out (automatic car so only need the right leg - in my case it is the good one). This morning I went for a supermarket shop, unassisted, without issue. It has certainly transformed how I see my six weeks in plaster. Highly recommended.

I am a right leg below knee amputee and have not walked for 4 months while waiting for my prosthetic measurements and fitting. I discovered the I-walk from various google searches. Initially I was worried that the I-walk might not be for me so contacted UK Knee Crutches, Steve got back to me almost immediately (even on a bank holiday weekend) and put me at ease with the return process just in case the I-walk was not suitable. I ordered and it arrived the next day, as I placed the order Steve emailed me with some instructions and video links, these were very helpful and I was able to build the I-walk in less than 30 minutes. Next the walking, it was difficult to use the first time however I had not walked for 4 months. I practiced for the next 2-3 days and now I’m able to use it quite well. I can now walk around the house hands free which has been amazing and gives me back some independence. I would highly recommend for below knee amputees looking to get some independence back.

No one wants to end up in the position of a broken ankle, foot or ligament damage…… but it happens! I was getting so annoyed having to rely on others to push me in a wheelchair and normal crutches were not the answer since I’d broken my left ankle and left wrist. Laying on the sofa day after day scrolling the web I came across a video of the ‘I walk free’ With not being able to earn at the moment being self employed I was a bit reluctant at first watching the pennies but the wife convinced me to give it a go. NO LOOKING BACK! Without a doubt complete game changer. I was very quickly able to walk again, fetch my own food and drink from the kitchen and the following day used the stairs and stayed in my own bed for the first time since the accident. Obviously it’s still not back on my feet but what it does enable me to do, completely changed my mind set.

Review: 5 out of 5 Comment: He iwalk has been amazing. It has made such a difference. I can wander around with my hands free. Easy to fit and super easy to use. So much easier than crutches. No adverse impact on rest of my body. Best thing ever.

This has saved my sanity by giving me back my independence - so much easier than the elbow crutches provided by the hospital after I broke my ankle. It's a godsend!!
