It has cured my autistic 9 year old of her fear of being on a bike. She feels safe, secure and so proud of herself when she rides on it.

I can’t praise Kidvelo enough for designing such a fantastic bike. Balance nine and peddle bike in one package. Confidence inspiring geometry, low centre of gravity, long wheel bass with slow steering. My son who was a bit bigger than the average 5 year old went from balancing to peddling on his Rookie 18 in 3 weeks. He is flying ! So pleased.

I was looking for a way for our 8yo, who did well on his small balance bike, to get into the cycling. He struggles a bit with balancing and the movement of cycling. I Google balanced bike for older kids and one of the websites reviewed Kidvelo Rookie. We got straight away and it was a good call. It's suits his height, after wobble first tries he clicked and got it under control and started to use the brakes. Can't wait to attach the pedals and see how is going to transition. It's easy to build, took me time to adjust brakes properly but it's just do to me not being very technical :). The bike itself is very light so easy to carry up the stairs (weighs the same as my younger boy 12" balance bike) There's also support videos on the YouTube from Kidvelo.

Absolutely brilliant bike, my little boy who is 6 and and is ASD had outgrown his balance bike, he doesn't have the confidence to go on his big big bike with pedals.
