Hello,
I'm so sorry to read about your little one experiencing rubbing. We do have a number of recommendations for our Jellys, which may help.
Some of the following may apply to you and some may not, as everyone has a different experience, but these have been compiled from lots of jelly shoe testers and customers (and sandals can be similar) and I hope one or all will help you get the most from them:
With all jelly shoes, they're recommended for occasional water wear. They are best worn around beaches or in water to protect little toes from stones. We wouldn't recommend wearing them for prolonged periods of time walking.
If you're wearing them out and about, we recommend trying them with socks for the first few wears. That can help get their feet used to the shape.
The fit on Jellies needs to be good. We don't recommend you buy them big (for growing room) and make sure they aren't small either; they need to fit well so they don't move up and down when they walk, but also so toes aren't tight at the front (to avoid toe rubbing).
All that said, jelly shoes (as with much of footwear in general) simply don't suit some feet and we do offer a Free Returns policy to provide peace of mind. We'd always recommend with any shoe to wear them indoors for a few hours to make sure you're happy with them, while they are still in returnable condition.
“Really great value for money, lovely lightweight, flexible material that’s easy for my little one to walk in. Good sizing with a generous width fitting and lovely colour options.”
