“A wonderful venue for our family of twenty ranging from eight to eighty. Superbly located within easy reach of Dorchester and Weymouth, Lyme Regis and the Jurrassic coast and other attractions. Ample grounds gave the children plenty of scope to explore and even swim and fish in the stream.”

“Wessex Manor is a beautiful house with stunning views. A group of 18 have just spent a magical weekend together celebrating a couple of 50th Birthdays and everyone from age 9 upwards loved the house. It has everything you need and is extremely comfortable. Thank you to Sarah-Jayne for everything.”

“A really lovely and interesting manor house that was the perfect setting for our group of 15 adults to celebrate a major birthday. It was beautifully decorated - as nice, if not nicer, than the photos. The extra areas like the Butler's Pantry and Snooker room were added bonuses - and made exploring the whole house really fascinating. As it was winter we did not have much opportunity to explore all that the grounds offer - but did enjoy the duck racing in the river!”

“We had a fantastic 3 nights celebration at the house . We were 7 adult couples and the house provided everything we needed for a truly memorable and brilliant time ! The house itself is gorgeous & the surrounding area is magical . We came in the Winter & lit the candles and snuggled around one of the open fires - the weekend was full of laughter & has provided us with wonderful memories for life . Thank you Wessex House for turning out to be everything we dreamed of . X”

“An absolutely amazing house, beautiful condition and stunning views. THE perfect location for a special occasion. Sarah Jayne (the housekeeper) was SO helpful arranging bedrooms for us before hand. We celebrated a 30th birthday here and it is definitely a weekend we will never forget!”

“Very nice house, spacious and very well equipped. I would particularly like to commend the house manager, Sarah-Jayne, who was exceptionally helpful and friendly. She took a lot of trouble to make our stay enjoyable and succeeded admirably.”

“We had a fantastic weekend at Wessex Manor. The house is truly stunning, everything we wished it could be. Sarah-Jayne who sorted all the rooms for us was so friendly and warm. I cannot recommend this house highly enough. We will definitely be coming back.”
