“Our third time at This lovely place- Diana was there to welcome us - she is a real gem - and we had a meal on the first night dropped off by Lucy Muller who also did us a beautiful catered lunch on the Sunday. Diana has recommended the Hawk and Owl lady who was the hit of the holiday with young and old!! Unfortunately once again in spite of valiant efforts by the pool man who came every day the pool was very green - the owners really need to spend some money renewing the bottom filter from the pool . We used to have one as did my son and we know well the challenges of keeping them crystal clear but this is the second year we have had the pool completely green. I forgot to mention the beer! The lovely duo from the brewery at the top of the lane fixed up a barrel for us which was very much enjoyed. We love Marsden Manor it has become a bit of a home from home for our family and apart from the green pool it is perfect.”

“Wonderful house and grounds. Some criticisms: fridges'capacity insufficient, lacking in door shelves for bottles and one in Butler's Pantry had a door thatdid not shut properly. Dishwashers need to be overhauled or replaced. Lack of seats at tennis court to see the play. Showers should have baskets for soap etc., hung on controls. Seat in downstairs loo needs to be replaced.”

“We had a wonderful week at Marsden Manor. It is a beautiful comfortable house with everything you could possibly need to entertain 1 year olds to 70 year olds! We swam in the sun and the rain, played tennis, badminton, croquet, ping pong, football and didn't have to leave the premises once. The kitchen is so warm and homely that we all sat around chatting in there. All the bedrooms were comfortable and beautifully turned out. Thank you to everyone who made it such a special week.”

“Marsden Manor exceeded our high hopes. Thanks to its admirably high standard facilities, character and atmosphere we enjoyed a memorable family celebration -- three generations totalling 20. Diana Barrell was a great and ever willing help.”

“Our stay was an exceptional experience. The Manor has old charm and warmth, and served our needs perfectly. With age comes problems, such as power outages, frayed and loose carpets ( particularly on the upper landing of the main stair case, and worn furniture. Also, in a number of bathrooms, anti-slip rubber mats were encrusted with mold/mildew. The charm and location of the Manor gave us a true Costwold experience. And, the staff at Kate & Toms, suggested vendors ( Lynn's catered food was absolutely fabulous) and Glenn (our photographer) was great to work with. And Diana was a wonderful house manager and very helpful.”
