“The house was beautiful and exactly as described. It was clean, warm and well equipped and had enough space for a large party without feeling cramped. The instructions left were really thorough and helpful and the lovely Alison was on hand for any queries we had. Best of all, the hot tub was actually hot and super easy to use! Shipston on Stour is extremely picturesque and just a short walk away (around 20 mins) and features a great range of shops and pubs. We'd love to come back in the summer to use the pool and tennis courts, but until then, thanks to the Hill House team for making it such a fantastic weekend.”

“Hill House was the perfect venue for our family birthday celebration, clean and modern whilst full of character, equipped with everything you could possibly need. The grounds were beautiful and the house perfect for a large group (we were 14 adults and 2 toddlers). We even went in the heated pool in September, which was actually warm!! Bensons caterers were recommended and were fabulous for our evening meal - delicious food and efficient discrete staff. We will be recommending both to friends and family, thank you!!”

“Although everyone had a lovely time in the house ,it was beautiful and very well equipped and very clean . The pool / tennis courts & hot tub didn't live up to expectations. The tennis court was covered in a thick layer of slime which made the court so slippery it was basically unplayable.Both my nephews slipped over in the first 5 mins . My husband spent an hour clearing the slime and then the court played fine . The generator in the pool house kept cutting out and although the lovely Roy came straight out to fix it ,he couldn't. An electrician came the next day but took one look at it and said he would be back Wed to fix it .which was no good to us as we were leaving Monday. so my brother in law who is a retired electrician got it working for us so the pool remained warm enough to swim in all weekend . The hot tub was lovely but Roy told us not to touch the temp controls otherwise the temp would drop and not rise again so we were stuck with the hot tub in 40 degrees all weekend . I totally appreciate that these things are not cheap to rectify and are not a 5 min job but thought it should be brought to your attention.”

“Very nice venue for our family party. Everything vital worked well. Pool was excellent as was the hot tub. We have stayed before and think that some general re-furbishment is going to be needed soon if the reputation is to remain excellent. Tennis court in particular. Now Kate and Tom's take credit cards no financial worry either so a good experience all round.”

“Situated in a superb position, Hill House is ideal for a large family get together. Although the original part of the house is need of exterior updating (the windows for example) this does not detract from the enjoyment of a short visit. The facilities are excellent in particular the heated swimming pool and hot tub and the BBQ and Games room facilities have improved since we last visited 2 years ago. The bedrooms are tastefully furnished and the Bathrooms excellent. Alison is a star with nothing too much trouble.”

“Thoroughly enjoyed by everyone, particularly the two heated "pools". One minor negative-there was broken glass on the patio. We picked up most of it and the very helpful gardener finished the job off. Overall a memorable week! Thankyou.”
